Islam and Polygamy in my Opinion
Muslim men, fight for their right to have more than one wife, I think it is wrong.
An Nisaa :3
“If you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, mary women of your choice, two three or four; but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or that which your right hand possess.”
then An Nisaa :129
“You are never able to do justice between wives even if it is your ardent desire..”
Negation is when there is two statements, the first contains requirement, the last is the fact, the mix of them makes the whole statement impossible.
For example, “If today is sunny I will go out with you” and “Today’s raining”, concluded as “I am not going out with you”. Simple.
Anyway, what has to do with the prophet, has nothing to do with the common man. They shouldn’t compare their ability to do such thing, for the reason he did have eleven or more wives is to feed the widows properly and as a political act, as the basis of primordial arabic schemata force that way. Men that do poligamy should never said they follow the prophets legacy, as he didn’t only do polygamy, he also did night shift shalat until his knees swollen, and I barely sees that from polygamy doers nowadays
